one hundred and one

lots of big news in the world of miss nugs this week.

last monday thea began sharing, out of the blue, just like that. now she tries to hand everything to me and zack, back and forth back and forth, with a huge grin on her face. "sharing is fun mom and dad!" "share with me!" "here you go!" "take this. and that. again. and again." i always respond with a grandiose "oh thank you!" which makes her laugh but it gets difficult to muster up the same enthusiasm after the 50th time of accepting the cap to her sippy cup.

even bigger, sometime in the hours between early sunday morning and this morning, thea's top right front tooth popped through. never a dull moment around here i tell you. i've been worried about this since she had her surgery last february when the doctor told us her upper teeth might come in funny, and who knows they still might, but this one looks pretty normal so far. fingers are crossed!

lastly, we had nuggie's nine month check-up this morning - two weeks late - and thea is weighing in at exactly 20 pounds [73rd percentile] and measuring 30 inches [97th percentile!]. "off the charts," according to dr upton. ahem, did i hear that correctly?! it's just so hard for me to comprehend the fact that i'd take part in producing tall offspring. me, who spent my entire childhood and young adulthood being the smallest person [by a long shot!!] among my peers. me, who had a party to celebrate hitting the five foot mark, WHEN I WAS 17.

woo hoo!

ps: we will be watching thea's grandfather on QVC tomorrow, sept 15, at 12pm EST where he will be promoting these. i encourage you to do the same!

nb: this is post number 101, hence the title, which is a huge feat for me. i've started a journal at the beginning of almost every year since i hit puberty and it's always ends miserably: i earnestly make entries until about the first week of february before abandoning it until january rolls around again. so while i admit i've been posting less than i'd like recently, i'm pleased i've made it this far.

  1. She kinda reminds me of a golden retriever-----always something in her mouth. This is a quote from Nana M.
